Coins are produced in several mints across China including, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Shenyang.
China issued its first gold coins picturing a Panda in 1982. The Chinese Panda coins are one of the only bullion coins to change its design each year, with exception to the 2001 and 2002 coins which share the same design.
Upon the 2014 coins obverse it depicts the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in the Temple of Heaven, Beijing. The Chinese symbols across the top read 'Zhonghua Renmin Gongheguo'.
The reverse of the coin illustrates an adult panda on a tree branch with scenery of bamboo in the distance.
