The coin's reverse features a stylized rendition of the Griffin of Edward III, its claws clutching a shield. The inscription "Griffin of Edward III" the weight, fineness and year-date also appear.
The obverse design depicts the fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, and the monetary denomination of £10.
