When you complete this process and confirm your sale, we'll lock in your price for 2 business days.

Step 4

Finally, simply print off the prefilled packaging slip and makes sure you include it in your package before posting your items to us.

How to Sell Gold Online with Atkinsons

Sell Scrap Gold

We buy scrap gold and silver at market-leading prices. To sell gold or silver scrap today, you can add custom items from the package screen. Simply provide information about the item, the type of metal, and the weight, if known. Alternatively, call us on 0121 355 0620 to discuss your requirements. You can send your items to us via Royal Mail Special Delivery and we will pay you by bank transfer or cheque. For custom items, we will quote based on the live metal price on the day we receive your items.

Sell Gold Proof Coins

Due to the varying values of gold proof coins, we are pleased to offer quotes based on current gold selling prices, whether you are selling single coins or larger collections. Each quote is tailored to individual items. We are especially interested in The Royal Mint proof coins with boxes and certificates.

Please send photos and descriptions of the items you wish to sell, including any available details on the box and certificate, to info@atkinsonsbullion.com. We will then email you back with a quote, or call you to discuss our offer.

  • To ensure that your gold and silver reaches us safely, we recommend that you package up your items as securely as possible, and post to us using Royal Mail’s Special Delivery service. This service ensures your parcel is insured up to £2,500. If the total value of your items exceeds this, you should split them into separate parcels - each containing a value of less than £2,500.

    If you have a large collection of gold or silver, we can arrange for it to be transported to us using a secure courier service.

  • You can drop your items to us at our Sutton Coldfield facility, or with our partners Brink’s in Hatton Garden or Heathrow Radius Park, London. This is on an appointment-only basis.

  • We buy gold and silver bars and coins, including bullion coins and bars, as well as proof coins with certificates. We also buy gold and silver jewellery, and scrap gold and silver.

  • The prices shown on each item included on the ‘Sell to Us’ pages of our website are the current prices we are paying for them. Once you have added your items to your selling basket and completed the online checkout process, your price will be fixed for 2 business days.

    For custom items, jewellery, and scrap precious metals, the final price will be confirmed with you upon our receipt and validation of your items, based on the live metal price on the day we receive them.

  • You can choose whether you prefer payment by bank transfer or cheque. Once we have received and verified your items, we'll notify you that your quote is available, and payment will be made to you within 3 working days of acceptance. A same-day payment is also available if required, subject to a £25 fee.

  • If you can not complete our new sell to us checkout process, our client services team will be happy to take all your details over the phone and email you a packing slip to include with your items. Please give us a call on 0121 355 0620.
