Identity Checks and Know Your Customer (KYC)

We know that sharing personal documents online can feel intrusive, especially when you're making a high-value purchase. That’s why we’ve designed our ID verification process to be fast, secure, and as straightforward as possible. It’s not just a legal requirement, it’s one of the most effective ways we protect you from fraud and confirm that you’re dealing with a trusted, fully regulated bullion dealer.

Why We Ask for ID

We carry out ID checks not only to meet legal requirements, but also to protect you from identity theft, fraud, or being unknowingly targeted by scammers. This is part of our commitment to prevent fraud and support the UK’s efforts to combat financial crime, including money laundering and organised crime.

We only ask for ID when we are legally required to or when it helps protect both you and us from fraudulent activity.

When ID is Required:

  • When placing a single order over £5,000
  • When your total orders exceed £10,000 in a calendar year
  • Occasionally, for lower-value orders, at our discretion

We know this may be inconvenient, but it provides you with peace of mind that your order and identity are protected every step of the way.

This is a common requirement in the industry. This is especially true for businesses like ours that handle valuable items like gold and silver bullion.

How to Submit Your ID

We work with Credas, a trusted and secure identity verification provider. Once we need your ID, we’ll send you a secure link to upload it directly through their platform.

Credas is certified under the UK Government’s Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework, ensuring your data is handled with the highest security and compliance standards.

Most customers complete the ID check in just a few minutes using their smartphone.

  • National identity card with photograph
  • Residence permit issued by the Home Office
  • Firearms or shotgun certificate
  • Full old-style driving licence (if no photographic ID is available)
