The reverse of the coin shows the special relationship between the UK and the USA, and features the national symbols of Britannia and Liberty. The coin's year date, weight, and fineness also appear.
The obverse side of the coin bears the uncrowned portrait of King Charles III designed by sculptor Martin Jennings, along with the coin's monetary denomination.
