The Chinese Panda 30g Gold Coin depicts the Hall of Prayer in Beijing encircled by "People's Republic of China" in Chinese.
The reverse of the coin features a different panda design each year. Details of the coins weight, purity and monetary denomination of 500 Yuan also appear in the design.

China issued its first gold coins picturing a Panda in 1982. The Chinese Panda coins are one of the only bullion coins to change its design each year, with exception to the 2001 and 2002 coins which share the same design.
There are several mints that produce these coins across China. These include but are not limited to: Beijing, Shenzhen,Shanghai and Shenyang. Chinese mints usually do not employ mint marks.
