How to Sell Proof Gold Coins
Whether you are looking to sell a single proof gold coin, or an entire collection, Atkinsons Bullion makes the process simple and straightforward. Our team of experts can help you get a competitive price for your coins, while ensuring your items are handled with care.
What are proof gold coins worth?
Unlike standard bullion coins, proof coins are produced using a more detailed minting process to create a mirror-like finish and sharper design details.
The value of a proof gold coin is usually based on several factors, including its gold content, condition, rarity, and collectability.
While bullion gold coins are usually bought and sold mainly for investment purposes, proof coins are created with collectors in mind. They are produced in smaller quantities which can make them desirable, and often more valuable.
When selling proof coins, it is important to ensure they are within their original box and have the certificate of authenticity (if originally supplied with the coin). If these are missing or damaged, this may affect the value of your coin, as collectors often require the complete original set.
