The 2020 Australian Lunar Mouse 1/4oz Gold Coin celebrates the Year of the Mouse (or rat), the first of the 12 animals associated with the ancient Chinese lunar calendar, and marks the beginning of the Lunar Series 3 from the Perth Mint. The design features a detailed design showing a mouse, and also incorporates the Chinese character for ‘mouse’, the inscription ‘Year of the Mouse’, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
The coin's obverse depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date, weight, fineness and the monetary denomination.
