This 1989 Proof Sovereign is a highly sought-after coin and was issued to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of the Sovereign coin. Its one-off design mirrors that of the original coin.
The reverse of the coin features a Tudor rose design, and the obverse bears an intricate design showing Queen Elizabeth II seated as at her coronation.
