This Pre-Owned 2025 UK Shield Design Proof Design Double Sovereign Gold Coin was struck by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Jean Baptiste Merlen's shield design.
The coin features the shield of the Royal Arms design that first appeared on the gold sovereign in 1825.
The obverse side of the coin bears Martin Jennings' portrait of King Charles III.
- Weighs 15.96g and is struck in 916.7 (22ct) gold.
