The 2016 Canadian Cougar 1oz Silver Coin was the first coin from the Royal Canadian Mint's four coin 'Canadian Predator' series. The coin features a micro-engraved maple leaf mint mark for enhanced security. The reverse of the coin depicts a design of a cougar leaping toward its prey, designed by Canadian artist Emily Damstra. The obverse of each coin features the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Canadian Mint introduced the Canadian Cougar as its first coin from the four-coin 'Canadian Predator' series. The series consists of four, one ounce silver coins that are struck in 99.99% pure silver, and celebrates some of Canada’s most iconic animals of prey.
The 2016 Cougar was the first of the four coins, and is limited to a maximum mintage of 1million coins.
As these coins are sold on the Second Hand Margin Scheme, there is no VAT for the customer to pay.
