The 2017 Rwanda Santa Maria 1oz Silver Nautical Ounce Silver Coin was the first release of the Nautical Ounce series, commemorating the 525th anniversary of the discovery of America.
The obverse of each coin features the Santa Maria with a compass in the background. The inscriptions 'Nautical Ounce', '2017', and the purity feature along the rim, along with the image of nautical instruments.
The reverse of the coin bears the official seal of Rwanda, with the monetary denomination of 50 Francs.
